Most people who know me, also know that I love dogs. In fact, I love dogs so much, I will cross the street if you have a cute dog and I WILL stop you to talk and pat them (always with permission of course!). In fact, I can't think of a time where I didn't love dogs and if I didn't travel so much, I'd love to own my own. So when I can, I like to indulge in a little bit of dog sitting and I am lucky enough to be Aunty to one of the cutest hounds around; Mr Redmondo Derry. Now I have to tell you that this guy is super cheeky, strong willed, fun and generally great company and I always look forward to doggy sitting.

Last time Mr Redmondo was at my place we played a game called "bark at the camera" and then after half an hour of that excitement he obliged and sat down and modelled for these photos. Today is Redmondo's mum's birthday and I thought I'd do a post especially for her with photos of her cute pooch! Happy Birthday Al!

Miss Fire Studio Tour!

One of the things that first drew me when I bought my little cottage was the amazing studio space in the backyard. With running water and a little outdoor 'dunny' I imagined it being my artistic hideaway, a photography studio, drawing room, spare guest suite and general amazing spare space. Unfortunately, there was a lot of work that needed to be done first (see the before and after photos!), the walls needed lining, a new roof, electricity, painting and of course general tidying!

For the longest time it was a dumping ground for unwanted furniture, gardening equipment and other odds and ends - but now it has finally taken shape and all of my original dreams for it are coming true! No doubt this will be an evolving space, but for now, I've done as much as my budget will allow and I'm so happy with it!

Now that the sexy Enjay press has made its home here, I thought I would give you a little sneak peek into my dream little studio! I'd be interested to know your thoughts and suggestions for future works!

Earlier in the year I received one of those emails that makes me want to laugh maniacally (if you know me in person, you know I do this quite a bit) - someone wanted me to draw something for them, something unique, a one off, an original artwork for their lounge room. After some discussion over which of my artworks  they liked the most and the colours and design they might prefer - I brought this little baby to life.  This baby is; A1, hand drawn and hand coloured with Schminke watercolours on a beautiful Somerset 300GSM Watercolour paper - it took a little over 4 months to create and I must confess it was such a lengthy process that I was quite enamored with it by the time it was completed and it wasn't easy to say good bye to it at the post office!

Having said that, it flew half way across the world to Merry old England and I am so
happy its owners are lovely people who love it!

If you're interested in having some made specifically for you - please don't hesitate to send me an email! Its always fun to work on something special for someone!
