Better Late than Never

I have been somewhat lazy with the blog updates -  not because I haven't wanted to post, but rather because it has been a long, cold, wet winter in Adelaide and my motivation has slowly leeched out and left me feeling a bit like the puddles on the floor. However!! .... Spring is now upon us and with the warmer weather I can feel a spring in my step, ideas are coming to mind and I am feeling creative once again! SO now is a good time to post and share the joy! Despite the puddling and pooling over winter I managed to complete a number of commissions (original artworks), the largest lino I have ever worked on (A1) and the most exiting news of all.... I have bought myself a press! I can not wait to get the new Enjay up and running in my studio and start cranking out prints for the market season! This year, I am hoping to do a number of markets in the lead up to the festive season... so I'd better get cracka-lacking!

However, a blog post would not be a blog post without some pretty things to look at...and today I am feeling quite inspired by an exhibition I visited today
called "Syria Lost" which is part of the Adelaide Shimmer Festival (a photographic Biennale). The photographs were beautiful and printed as large format (my favourite!), but most of all they reminded me of the time I have spent in Syria, how many photos I have in my own personal Syria archive and how sad that the next time I visit, things will look very different. I've added a few of my Syrian images here for you to enjoy!

I promise I will be better with the blog updates - next one will have some sexy photos of my new press...
xx
